Nala's progress

Nala enjoys her days in the sun.  She still spends most of the day sleeping.   She sleeps so well that people come in the front door, step over her and sometimes she does not know we have company.    Since she does not hear anything, we have to wake her up by touching her, then she jumps.    Mostly we just check to make sure she is breathing well and then we leave her to rest.
She is doing much better than she was doing.   This evening she even trotted in from the back yard instead of tottering in.   She stands pretty firmly, not swaying too much.  She still does not get up and down well, but when she is up, she is moving much better.    Her appetite has returned, she is eating very well now.   She still gets spoiled, she gets canned dog food mixed in with her dry bites.   She even gets a little grease on her food to make it more interesting.

Bella and I were given new toys today.   Our cousins always tear up all of our toys, so we have some new ones to play with until Friday when they arrive and tear them up again.  I have a Blue Heron.
Bella has a Squirrel, but she won't share.

Spring is coming and life is good.

  1. Khousin Merdie knows the wonders of Nala's naps!

  2. Mogley,
Overall a good day for you Nala, is feeling better and you get a new stuffie, and your having buddies to come over for a week.
    Wish we were there.

  3. Thank you for the progress report on Nala. We sort of were bothering mommie after she got home from work to send an e-mail to see how she was doing. Good thing she said:NO, LEAVE THE PEOPLE ALONE. Jeez, she can be hard headed.

Mogley, we love your new toys. Maybe you should hide your toys till your cousins are gone. We keep on losing our toys because Lady buries them and then forgets where.

  4. I am glad Nala is feeling better and that you got new toys! Life is truly good!

  5. I love reading about Nala, she is such a beauty!

I never tear up my toys, I have every one I have ever had except for one. My late pal Spencer tore it up. So when he was coming for a sleep over , my Mom helped me bag up my favorites and put them away. Sometimes we would even go to the 2nd hand store for some more for him. Works!

  6. Glad to hear that Nala is doing better. She totally deserves to be allowed to nap in the sun - there is nothing better!

  7. I am glad Nala is better! Sounds like she is doing what dogs do best...eating, sleeping and wagging - that must be a good sign.

    Wags N Kisses,

    PS - awesome new toys!

  8. What a sweet girl! I thought I was the only one that checked to see if sleeping dogs are... well, breathing! BOL! I guess that is how much we love them!

  9. Glad to hear she is doing so much better!
